If you’re like me, using skincare tools is a definite must in your skincare routine. It's a great way to give yourself a bit of self-care. Yet, using skincare tools in your routine can have consequences if you do not know what you’re doing. I love a rose-quartz facial roller - personally, I use the one from Pacifica - but I realized it’s important to remember the dos and don’ts on how to use one. Read on to learn more about using a facial roller correctly and the benefits of incorporating this into your skincare routine.

Here are 3 common ways people might misuse facial rollers:
1. Applying Excessive Pressure: Some individuals may mistakenly believe that applying more pressure will yield better results. However, excessive pressure can actually cause unnecessary strain on the skin, leading to bruising or irritation.
2. Rolling Too Quickly: Rushing through the rolling process may reduce effectiveness. Slow and deliberate movements allow the roller to stimulate circulation and promote lymphatic drainage properly. Quick rolling can also increase the risk of pulling or stretching the skin.
3. Incorrect Direction: Using the roller in the wrong direction may not provide the desired benefits and could potentially cause harm. It's important to roll upwards and outwards on the face, following the natural contours, to encourage lymphatic drainage and promote a lifting effect.
My favorite is this rose quartz one from Pacifica, but you can also use one made of jade or amethyst crystal too.
